A Short History of Fosslia

Fosslia is a typical Norwegian log cabin. In 1942, during the German occupation, Kari's grandparents, Helga and ?? Fimland from Trondheim, bought a plot of land from the Nordaune farm, and built the hut.

On their death, the hut became the property of Gerd Bygge, Kari's aunt. In 1997, Gerd sold the hut to Kari and David. And in 2018, they sold it to Gerd Bjørgård, whose family own the adjacent farm, Nordaune.

In 2013 the cottage roof was renovated.

In 2021 the cottage verandah was enlarged.
